Rebar offers from the three local producers were broadly stable on a weekly basis in the range of PLN 2,680-2,700 ($652-657) per tonne CPT (around PLN 2,650-2,680 per tonne EXW).
Rare deals in the range of 2,630-2,650 zloty per ton ex-works were reported during the week. Market sources said that factories in the region were able to offer rebar from stocks with quick shipments.
The local rebar price assessment ex-Poland stood at PLN 2,630-2,650 per tonne on Friday, up by PLN 30 per tonne from PLN 2,600-2,650 per tonne seven days ago.
The wire rod market in Poland has also been very quiet recently due to both seasonality and weak end-user demand.
The weekly price assessment for steel wire rod (drawing grade) for Polish delivery was at 2,750-2,800 zloty per tonne on Friday, unchanged since July 7.
According to sources, a Ukrainian supplier is offering wire rod at €610-615 ($663-669) per tonne from stocks.
