Private sector employment in the USA fell short of expectations in August

Although a high data on the economy has a positive value, it is a problem that it does not meet the expected figure in the light of other data.

AUGUST EMPLOYMENT REPORT OF USA IS PUBLISHED
According to the August national employment report prepared by ADP Research Institute in cooperation with Moody's Analytics, private sector employment in the USA increased by 374 thousand people in August.

While 613 thousand jobs were expected, 374 thousand people rose
Despite the increase in question, private sector employment, which was well below market expectations, was expected to increase by 613 thousand. The number of employment increased by 86 thousand in small-scale enterprises, 149 thousand in medium-sized enterprises and 138 thousand in large-scale enterprises. 329 thousand of the employment increase was realized in the service sector and 45 thousand in the production sector.

SLOWING IN THE RECOVERY IN THE LABOR MARKET
ADP Research Institute Chief Economist Nela Richardson said that the August data showed that the recovery in the labor market slowed down.

Pointing out that there was a decrease in hiring after the significant employment increases recorded in the first half of the year, Richardson stated that despite the slowdown in the recovery, the employment growth approached 4 million this year, but still below the pre-coronavirus epidemic levels.

SERVICE INDUSTRY PRIORITIZES EMPLOYMENT GROWTH
Richardson noted that although the Delta variant created uncertainty for the service sector in the coronavirus outbreak, this sector continues to lead employment growth.

Mark Zandi, Chief Economist at Moody's Analytics, also noted that the Delta variant appears to have hindered the recovery in the labor market. "Job growth remains strong, but well below the pace of recent months," Zandi said. made its assessment.
