Korea-based POSCO will produce Hyper NO dynamo (non-oriented) electric steel in its new factory. It was announced that the new factory will produce high-quality products with a thickness of about 0.15 mm, and the first phase of its construction will be completed in October this year. As a result of the completion of the first phase, the factory capacity is expected to reach 150 thousand tons of steel per year.
It was announced that the last phase of the factory construction will be completed in October 2024. POSCO stated that with this project, up to 300 thousand tons of Hyper NO will be produced.
With this project, POSCO also aims to develop working areas in steel production.
