Australia's Port Hedland iron ore consignments were about 49.3 million tonnes in 2022, increase by 3.6% and down by 3.1% y-o-y, compared to 2021.
Among them, exports to China were about 41.8 million tons, increase by 0.6% m-o-m and down by 0.8% y-o-y. In South Korea, this is 3.77 million tons, while in Japan it is 2.43 million tons.
Port Hedland continues to handle iron ore consignments for Australian miners BHP Group, Fortescue Metals Group and Roy Hill.
