Polish producers set the price of wire rod per ton for April at 20-30 euros ($ 21-32), but weak demand was seen as a major obstacle to prices.
Polish producers' price per ton for rolled wire rod was 3,400 zloty ($780) in March, while offers for April were reported as 3,500-3,550 zloty ($803-815) per ton.
The weekly price assessment for domestically delivered steel wire rod has remained unchanged since Friday, March 17, at 3,400 zloty ($780) per ton.
A Ukrainian mill offered wire rod at €680 ($731) per tonne for April-May delivery to Poland.
Italian mills were still out of the market this week.
Another Ukrainian producer was offering wire rod at €720-730 ($774-785) per ton.
