In its statement, LISCO said that the investment represents an important step toward increasing the company’s production capacity. It was emphasized that the technical tests delivered outstanding results, with the target minimum thickness of 0.25 mm successfully achieved. The company noted that this result demonstrates both the efficiency of the equipment used and the precision of the installation and commissioning works carried out at the facility.
Information regarding the background of the project was also shared. Accordingly, LISCO signed a contract with Partner Teknik in August 2024 for the completion of the existing hexagonal cold rolling mill project. Under the project, a facility with an annual production capacity of approximately 200,000 tons is planned, targeting the production of cold-rolled coils and strips in thicknesses ranging from 0.20 mm to 3 mm. The products are intended to meet both domestic demand and export needs.
Under the contract, Partner Teknik was responsible for completing all previously unfinished electrical and mechanical works, carrying out cold testing of the equipment, and managing the hot testing processes up to trial and commercial operations.
