Pakistan's scrap and steel imports decreased

According to the data obtained, Pakistan imported approximately 136,400 tons of scrap in March this year, down 4.5 percent m-o-m and down 58 percent ye-o-y.

During this period, imports of steel products totaled approximately 160,000 tons, down 3.3 percent m-o-m and 36 percent y-o-y.

The value created by Pakistan's scrap imports in March was approximately US$77.6 million, up 1.3 percent m-o-m and down 61 percent y-o-y. The import value of Pakistani steel products was US$119.3 million, down 8.4 percent m-o-m and 44 percent y-o-y.
