Pakistan increased imports of scrap

Pakistan's imports of ferrous scrap in July 2023 amounted to 181,178 tons, up 48.9% from the previous month and also up 7.34% from July 2022. The value of July imports was at $87.89 million, up 45.1% on a monthly basis but down 14.6% on an annual basis.

Imports of iron and steel in July amounted to 160,245 tons, down 23.2% from a month earlier and also down 27.9% from July last year.
