OYAK Maden Metalürji launched new investments at Erdemir and İsdemir facilities

OYAK Maden Metalürji Group continues to produce globally competitive products with its modern production facilities and advanced technologies, while continuing its investments in line with its sustainable growth strategy. Two major investment projects were successfully completed and commissioned at the Group's Ereğli and İskenderun plants.

OYAK Maden Metalürji launched new investments at Erdemir and İsdemir facilities

The Modernization of Coke Battery No. 4, carried out by Ereğli Demir ve Çelik Fabrikaları T.A.Ş. (Erdemir), was completed and commissioned. With this battery, which has an annual production capacity of 800 thousand tons, it is aimed to increase environmental performance, reduce the need for imported coke and reduce costs by increasing production efficiency.

Türkiye's largest blast furnace in operation at İsdemir

The investment in the New 1st Blast Furnace built by İskenderun Demir ve Çelik A.Ş. (İsdemir) was successfully completed and production started. This new facility, which is Türkiye's highest capacity blast furnace, will enable the annual production of 2.8 million tons of liquid crude iron. This investment is expected to reduce production costs, increase efficiency and contribute to a sustainable production approach.

With these investments, OYAK Maden Metalürji Group both strengthens domestic production and reinforces its leadership in the sector by investing in environmentally friendly technologies.
