Oktay made statements at the AFAD Coordination Center regarding the earthquakes, the epicenter of which was Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş and affecting 10 provinces.

Expressing his gratitude to everyone who made an effort to leave the pain caused by the earthquake behind, Oktay noted that 121 citizens were rescued from the rubble in the last 24 hours.

Oktay stated that the survivors after 72 hours were a good story of how the teams engaged in search and rescue and support activities in the field kept hope, and said that the 5-year-old Hazal and her mother, who were rescued in Hatay, warmed the hearts.

Noting that 29,622 search and rescue teams are on the field at the moment, Oktay said that they concentrate on the villages and their activities will not end until they reach each village.
