Otokar receives order for 29 electric buses from Italy

Otokar, a Koç Group company, is strengthening its presence in the European market with electric vehicles of its own design and production. Otokar's e-Centro microbuses, designed and manufactured by Turkish engineers, will serve the public transportation sector in Italy with an order for 29 units.

Otokar's electric microbus e-Centro is designed to provide a clean environment, quiet traffic, low operating costs and high efficiency. The e-Centro microbuses, which will first enter service in Rome, will also carry passengers in Siracusa, Salerno, Reggio Calabria, Cagliari and Palermo in the second half of 2024.

Kerem Erman, Deputy General Manager of Otokar Commercial Vehicles, said: "The export of our electric vehicles will continue to increase. We have a large family of electric buses in Europe, and the fact that e-Centro is very well received gives us great happiness and pride." Erman also emphasized that e-Centro will offer a comfortable public transportation experience with its performance, large interior volume and fast charging features.
