Oman is poised to make history in the steel industry with the ambitious launch of Vulcan Green Steel in Duqm, a groundbreaking initiative by Jindal Steel Group. This aligns with Oman's commitment to achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2050 and establishes the country as a pioneer in green steel production. Expected to be completed by 2026, this mega project in Duqm's Special Economic Zone will create a 6 MTPA green hydrogen-ready steel plant, saving an impressive 12 million tonnes of CO2 annually.
