Norwegian aluminum company Norsk Hydro says its quarterly and annual earnings have reached new highs after rising global commodity prices and its dividend will more than quadruple in 2021.
The company's EBITDA for the quarter from October to December 2021 was well above 3.4 billion NOK for the same period of the previous year. It reached 9 billion NOK, below analysts' average expectation of 9.31 billion NOK.
However, Hydro underlined in its financial report that uncertainty about the future has increased. These include shortcomings in global supply chains, high energy prices, and inflationary risks.
