Nippon Steel to hike HRC export offers by $100/t

Japanese steel major Nippon Steel is planning to lift HRC export offers by a steep $100/t m-o-m for Mar'22 shipments off the back of surging coal prices, hike in steel slab prices and upcoming maintenance schedules at a few hot strip mills in South Korea and Taiwan. Revised offers are heard at:

$850-900/t CFR ASEAN
$950/t CFR Europe
