New rebar plant opened in Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan's Zhambyl region, a factory producing high-quality rebars of class A-500 at the European level has started operations. An annual production volume of 0.35 million tons is anticipated.

The automated rolling mill will enable the production of high-quality goods and the replacement of rebar imports.

There is an increase in the production of rebar in Kazakhstan. More than 900,000 tons of this product were produced in 2022, of which 220,000 tons were exported. Around 700,000 tons were imported into Kazakhstan at the same time. Up to 47% of the country's total rebar imports are anticipated to be replaced by the new capacities of the Taraz Reinforcing Plant.
