Natural gas imports from Oman begin

Turkey continues to make new supply agreements within the framework of resource diversification efforts in natural gas.

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez stated that a delegation headed by BOTAŞ General Manager Melih Han Bilgin is in Oman and said, “And I would like to share with you a new development that I will announce for the first time. Currently, our BOTAŞ General Manager and his delegation are in Oman. We are signing a new gas purchase agreement with Oman. We will supply 1.4 billion cubic meters of gas annually from Oman and our agreement will be valid for 10 years. Later on, if favorable conditions arise, we can extend the agreement.”
