Milaha and Qatar Steel forge strategic alliance to boost global steel export capabilities

In a strategic alliance set to bolster Qatar's steel export capabilities, Qatar Navigation Q.P.S.C. (Milaha) has forged a dynamic 5-year partnership with Qatar Steel, a cornerstone of the nation's iron and steel manufacturing sector. This landmark agreement aims to streamline the global distribution of Qatar Steel’s top-tier products, marking a significant step towards enhancing international accessibility and logistical efficiency.

Under the terms of the agreement, Milaha will provide comprehensive stevedoring services at Qatar Steel’s berth in Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC). This includes a range of logistics solutions such as equipment provision (trailers, forklifts) and skilled manpower, all managed through Milaha’s Logistics Centre of Excellence. This strategic collaboration seeks to ensure seamless operations and timely deliveries of Qatar Steel’s diverse product lineup, which includes rebars, billets, and coils.

The partnership not only strengthens Qatar Steel’s global footprint but also reinforces Qatar's economic growth trajectory by facilitating smoother export processes. By leveraging Milaha’s extensive maritime and logistics expertise, Qatar Steel aims to expand its market reach significantly, enhancing its competitive edge on the international stage.

Underlining both companies' commitment to national economic development, the initiative promises to revitalize the local steel industry and open up new opportunities in global markets. As Qatar continues to establish its presence in the global trade arena, the Milaha-Qatar Steel partnership is poised to deliver significant performance in driving sustainable growth and customer satisfaction in the industry.
