Mexico's consumption of cold rolled coils fell

In July 2023, the consumption of cold-rolled steel coils in Mexico was 340 thousand tons, with a decrease of 2% compared to the same month in 2022.

Mexican cold rolled steel coil exports decreased by 68.2% to 7 thousand tons, while their imports rose by 30.1% to 134 thousand tons, both on an annual basis.

In the seven months since the beginning of 2023, consumption of cold-rolled steel coils in Mexico decreased by 7.4% to 2.38 million tons, while their production decreased by 15.2% to 1.7 million tons, both comparisons compared to the same period in 2022.
