Low carbon steel supply from ArcelorMittal

In December of last year, EMW signed an agreement with the German steel manufacturer Salzgitter to purchase a certain amount of green steel.

According to sources, ArcelorMittal will supply low-carbon emission steel and carbon saving certificates to the German-based steel service center EMW Stahl Service GmbH starting this year.

ArcelorMittal will supply the company with XCarb steel with a low carbon content. At the same time, XCarb steels, which are recycled and produced renewably, are produced on the basis of scrap (70%) and renewable electricity (100%).
