The investment, implemented in line with the company’s goal of increasing its steel production capacity in East Africa, aims to strengthen the region’s long products production infrastructure. The project is considered an important part of Lodhia Industries’ strategic plan to expand its production capacity.
It was stated that the reheating furnace to be delivered will be equipped with the latest combustion technologies and advanced burner systems, targeting high thermal efficiency, low energy consumption, and reduced emissions performance. The design also aims to minimize scale formation and reduce environmental impact.
The furnace is being developed with a focus on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, in line with the company’s decarbonization goals. It was also noted that the project will be carried out in compliance with the latest safety standards.
The commissioning of the new reheating furnace is planned for the first half of 2027. The unit will operate in integration with the bar and wire rod rolling mill previously ordered by Lodhia Industries from Danieli, completing the technological infrastructure of the new long products production complex.
