LME suspends permission to hold metals from Russia in British warehouses

In the statement made by the LME, it was reported that the decision made by the Exchange was taken in line with the British government's decision to impose an additional 35 percent tax on copper, lead, primary aluminum and aluminum alloy imports from Russia.

In the statement, it was noted that the decision to stop the storage of imported Russian metals in the warehouses listed on the stock exchange will not cover the metals imported before 25 March 2022.
