Liberty Steel will continue its operations at its wire rod mill

Liberty Steel will continue its steel wire and bar production operations at its Georgetown facility.

The result of the vote meant that the majority of the board thought the mill was operating in accordance with the city's REDD regulation.

USW Local 7898 said that it strongly supports Liberty's appeal to the Georgetown Zoning Appeal Board to resume steel wire and bar production in Georgetown.
