Liberty Steel Group has completed the sale of French steelmaking company Liberty Ascoval and Liberty Rail Hayange to German steel producer SHS - Stahl-Holding-Saar (SHS). The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
SHS stated that the acquisition is in line with the group's strategy and supports its intention to move towards green steel production. It also continues the mission of Saarland's steel industry model.
SHS is a producer of high-quality steel bars, wire rods, semi-finished products and forgings. The company was founded in 2001.
