Lamincer acquired by Arania

It was reported that Arania intends to support the growth strategy of the Spanish "Grupo Arania" with this procurement. Lamincer Precision Steel, founded in 1986 and operating as a subsidiary of Thyssenkrupp Materials Services since October 2009, was a major producer of cold-rolled carbon steel, structural steel and micro-alloyed materials with a capacity of approximately 40 thousand tons per year.

Carmelo Bilbao, Vice President of Grupo Arania, was reported as remarking: "This acquisition is a step in our strategic plan aimed at finding a partner with excellent product quality, service and flexibility that supports our continued growth."

The agreement was signed on December 20 and both companies agreed not to publish the financial details of the deal.
