Kumba Iron Ore production and exports were disrupted due to a strike at state-owned logistics company Transnet.
The initial impact was around 50,000 tons per day, followed by 90,000 tons per day after a week, and 120,000 tons daily for exports. In 2021, Kumba's production and exports were 40.9 million tons and 40.2 million tons, respectively.
