The Bureau of National Statistics at the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms in Kazakhstan reveals a mixed bag of results in the country's metal production for October. Notably, the production of ferroalloys experienced a significant downturn, plummeting by 22.1% compared to the previous month, totaling just 187 thousand tons.

In contrast, the production of raw zinc witnessed upswing, marking a 5.9% increase to reach 24.5 thousand tons. However, other key metals faced declines, with refined gold decreasing by 29.3% to 3.9 tons and refined copper dipping by 9.3% to 32 thousand tons.

the data for the first 10 months of 2023 paints a nuanced narrative. Copper production in Kazakhstan saw a notable decline, contracting by 12.9% to 331.186 thousand tons, while ferroalloys experienced a more modest dip, receding by 3.9% to 1.702 million tons. On a positive note, zinc production bucked the trend, showcasing a 1% increase to reach 230.96 thousand tons.
