KARDEMİR exports USD 2.5 million worth of railway wheels to Bulgaria

In its statement, KARDEMİR, Türkiye’s first integrated iron and steel producer, said it continues to strengthen its position in international markets in line with its strategy focused on value-added production and exports.

Within this scope, the company signed a railway wheel sales contract with a customer operating in Bulgaria. It was stated that the products to be manufactured under the agreement are planned to be shipped within the year.

The statement emphasized that this contract not only increases KARDEMİR’s export volume but also demonstrates the international trust and demand for its high value-added products.

It was also noted that the railway wheels, produced using advanced manufacturing technologies in compliance with international quality standards, continue to be preferred by overseas customers due to their quality, reliability, and sustainable production approach. The agreement further strengthens the company’s manufacturing capabilities and global competitiveness in the railway sector.

Continuing to offer high value-added products developed with a domestic and national production approach to global markets, KARDEMİR expects the deliveries scheduled for this year to positively contribute to its export performance.

The company also stated that, with its expertise in railway wheels, wheel sets, and rail production, it will continue contributing to Türkiye’s railway industry, increasing exports in strategic products, and adding value to the national economy.
