Japan's scrap exports amounted to 4.7 million tons in September, down 19 percent year on year.
Exports to South Korea had the largest share with 2,38 million tons. Vietnam ranked second with 1.05 million tons, down 41.9 percent year on year.
In September alone, Japan exported about 624,000 tons of scrap, up 33.7 percent year on year.
