Japan's crude steel and pig iron production up m-o-m

Crude steel production up m-o-m, down by y-o-y

In March 2023, Japan's crude steel production stood at around 7.5 million tons, increased by 8.2% from February and down by 6% from March 2022.

Pig iron production reached 5.4 million tons

In the same period, Japan's pig iron production reached around 5.4 million tons, up 7.6% m-o-m and down by 6.2% y-o-y.

In the first three months of this year, crude steel production decreased by by 6% y-o-y

In the first three months of 2023, Japan's crude steel production down by 6% yoy to 21.6 million tons, while pig iron production down by 6.4% yoy to 15.7 million tons.
