Japan's billet exports increased

In the November 2023 period, Japan's billet exports increased significantly, reaching approximately 240,000 tons, a significant monthly increase of 15%.

During this period, South Korea ranked first in Japan's billet imports and gained a significant share with a total import volume of 121,000 tons. Taiwan followed with an import amount of 40,000 tons.

When the cumulative data of the year covering January-November 2023 is examined, it is seen that Japan's billet exports reached a total of 2.57 million tons. Despite the dynamic growth observed in November, the overall annual export figure remained relatively stable, following an almost flat course compared to the same period in 2022.
