Iskenderun iron and steel to receive insurance compensation for damages

In conjunction with the earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023, Isdemir has released a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). The company will receive a $100 million advance from the insurance company due to the damage it incurred.

Iskenderun Iron and Steel made an announcement on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) today, stating that they have reached an agreement with the insurance company regarding the advance payment to be collected under the insurance coverage due to the damage they suffered. The KAP statement indicated that the $100 million advance amount will be collected by Isdemir in exchange for the damage compensation.

In the statement submitted to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was announced, "Due to the earthquake that occurred on February 6, 2023, an agreement has been reached for the collection of a $100 million advance payment under the insurance coverage for damages to be collected by Iskenderun Iron and Steel Inc. The process regarding the total damage compensation to be collected under the insurance coverage and future payments is ongoing, and developments on this matter will be shared with the public."
