An Iranian steelmaker has signed an export agreement for 40,000-50,000 t billets at a price of around $560/t FOB for the August 22 shipment.
Iran's billet export prices fell to a five-month low due to cheaper Russian offers and lower global scrap and billet prices. According to data from the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA), Iran's billet and bloom exports stood at 5.97 mnt in the Iranian year ended March'22.
