According to the information quoted by ISSDA (Indian Stainless Steel Development Association), India's stainless steel consumption increased by 10% in the 2022-2023 fiscal year, amounting to 4 million metric tons.
In addition, ISSDA stated that in the 2022-2023 fiscal year, the consumption of stainless steel reached 2.8 kilograms per capita due to the increase in demand from the national railway operator, Indian Railways, and the process industries.
