India's coal production increased in June

Coal India Ltd (CIL) reported a production increase of 8.87% in June with production of 63.10 tonnes as stated by the Ministry of Coal.

In June, coal shipments increased by 10.15% compared to the previous year, reaching 85.76 million tons. Additionally, coal stocks held by companies increased to 95.02 million tons as of June 30; This reflects an impressive annual growth rate of 41.68%, indicative of the strong performance and efficiency of the coal sector. In addition, coal stocks in thermal power plants (TPP) temporarily increased to 46.70 million tons, with an annual increase of 30.15%.

Contributing to more than 80% of domestic coal production, Coal India continues to play an important role in the industry.
