India takes cautious stance on EU quota use

According to the data obtained by SteelRadar from the European Commission, it is observed that India has a cautious stance in the European Union (EU) quotas dated 01.10.2024 - 31.12.2024.

According to European Commission data, India, which stood out with its quota usage rates last week, used only two products from EU quotas at full capacity this week. These were 32,082 tons of stainless steel bars and light profiles and 5,945 tons of stainless steel pipes (seamless), while India used almost all of its 79,455 tons of organic coated sheets quota, achieving 99.9% usage. The country's usage rates in other quotas were as follows;

 

23.3% of the 164,886 ton crc quota, 96.1% of the 54,225 ton 4a metallic coated sheets quota, 24% of the 77,423 ton 4b metallic coated sheets quota, 11% of the 31,102 ton stainless hr quarto sheet quota, 50.2% of the 7,461 ton stainless wire rod quota, and 8.3% of the 301,703 ton hrc quota were used.

 

India transferred 65,696 tons of crc quota, 42,709 tons of 4b metallic coated sheets, 23,380 tons of stainless hr quarto sheet quota, 1,784 tons of stainless wire rod quota, 59,371 tons of hrc quota.
