The two steel-producing powerhouses have signed an agreement that will allow certain quantities of Indian steel and aluminum to be exported to the United States without paying additional Section 232 fees.
Under the agreement, India will be able to export up to 336,000 tons of steel and aluminum products to the US each year duty-free. The two countries will meet twice a year to review the agreement and discuss any issues that arise.
