The increase in imported HRC prices caused prices to increase in the local market as well. European producers have already increased their July delivery prices on a 20-30 EUR/MT basis.
In the last ten days of June, HRC prices reached the range of 675-690 EUR/MT EXW with an increase by 20-30 EUR/MT. It is also among the market rumors that offers for early August delivery have already exceeded the 700 EUR/MT EXW range, although sales have not been confirmed yet.
While prices for flat products are expected to continue to rise, the main reason for the upward trend is expected to be the continuous increase in the production costs of European producers rather than the increase in demand.
