HRC imports of Türkiye increased by 6% in January-March period

SteelRadar analysts compiled data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and recorded that Türkiye's hot rolled coil (HRC) imports in March 2024 increased by 15.5% compared to the same month of the previous year, rising from 378,465 tons to 436,882 tons. This figure increased by 73.3% compared to the previous month, February.

In January-March period, total HRC imports increased by 6% annually from 1,042,084 tons to 1,104,931 tons.

The leading HRC importing country was China with 263,153.5 tons, followed by Russia with 85,744.1 tons, South Korea with 48,360.1 tons, Egypt with 18,838.7 tons and France with 9,815.6 tons.
