HRC imports from Europe increased

According to the report, Europe's imports of hot rolls in May amounted to 1.1 million tonnes, up 42% from the previous month. Among them, India was the largest source of imports, up 8.6% m-o-m to 174,000 tonnes. India was followed by Vietnam, which nearly tripled m-o-m to 161,000 tonnes. Compared to the previous month, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea's exports increased by 66%, 24% and 18% to 128,000 tonnes, 117,000 tonnes and 92,000 tonnes, respectively.

In addition, Europe's cold rolled coil imports surged 38% m-o-m to 250,000 tonnes in May. The main supplier countries were India and South Korea.
