Sources told SteelRadar that the steel market continues to fluctuate globally, while the market, especially in Europe, will remain uncertain until after the second quarter.
On the other hand, UK wire mesh has remained unstable since last month, continuing its downward trend. After trading between $615-$620 last month, the wire mesh has fallen significantly throughout the month and entered March at $585. For two months, buyers and trade slowed down due to quota announcements, particularly in the UK, which led to hesitant prices and a lack of balance.
Continuing its downward trend in the first weeks of March, UK wire mesh prices dropped by $6.5 to $574 in the second week of the month, with no significant changes. However, despite experiencing its last decrease of $3.5 in the week of March 18, SteelRadar data showed an improvement in UK wire mesh prices throughout the week.
SteelRadar assessed the current UK wire mesh price at $583, up by $9, and forecasts a more stable trend in the coming weeks.
