The company is said to be relaunching the dormant BF in the week starting March 13. Flat steel prices across Europe started to recover in January, supported by limited supply and restocking activity.
In February, the daily HRC index for steel ex-Northern Europe averaged €768.42 ($811.72) per ton. It increased by €48.06 per tonne from an average of €720.36 per ton per month in January.
Some European steelmakers have restarted their steel production capacities since the beginning of 2023 due to the potential for increased profits.
