The medium-sized rolling mill, which has been producing alloyed steel rounds, deformed rounds and light rails for 87 years, aims to increase production capacity and product quality with the modernization.
The new plant to be installed by Danieli will consist of two double-shiftable reverse stands for bloom rolling from the existing bloom line. Within the scope of the modernization, product quality will be improved by increasing the rigidity of the stands, and productivity will be increased by shortening roll change times. This will improve Godo Steel's competitiveness and occupational safety.
In addition, the upgraded facility will optimize the rolling process and enable Godo Steel to manage small production batches more efficiently. Danieli will provide the technological equipment manufactured in its production centers in Asia, as well as the electrical and automation systems developed by Danieli Automation.
Danieli Japan will be in charge of the project and the modernized plant is scheduled to be operational in the second half of 2028.
