Germany's crude steel production falls mom and yoy

Germany's crude steel production in July 2023 was 2.96 million tons, down 1.1% from the previous month and 0.5% from the previous year. Electric arc furnace production fell 17% to 690,000 tons, while blast furnace production rose 6.1% to 2.3 million tons.

In the first seven months of this year, steel production in electric arc furnaces was 6.3 million tons, down 11% from the previous year. Blast furnace output fell 1.1% to 15.2 million tons.
