In his assessment of a potential trade agreement between the European Union (EU) and the U.S., Jandura emphasized that the current situation in foreign trade is dramatic and carries the risk of worsening further.
Noting that the effects of U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff policies are becoming increasingly clear, Jandura noted, “Given the weak global demand, time is running out to finally achieve unity and security through an agreement.”
Jandura pointed out that caution is needed in any trade deal with the U.S., stating, “Our interests must be reflected in any agreement with the U.S. We need a fair deal for all of Europe. This agreement should not be made at any cost.”
