The freight turnover of Russian ports increased in the January-February period of 2023. It increased by 2.6% compared to the same period of 2022 and amounted 140.3 million tons. Dry cargo transfer volume increased by 4.9% to 65.4 million tons and bulk cargo volume increased by 7% to 74.9 million tons.
The freight turnover of the Baltic basin ports, the cargo turnover of the Azov-Black Sea basin ports and the freight turnover of the Far East Basin ports increased. The freight turnover of the Baltic basin ports increased by 3.8% to 43.5 million tons (transshipment dry cargo 16.7 million tons, bulk cargo 26.8 million tons), the freight turnover of the Azov-Black Sea basin ports increased by 3.5% to 43.8 million tons (transshipment dry cargo 20.7 million tons, bulk cargo 23.1 million tons), the freight turnover of the Far East Basin ports increased by 2.7% to 36.2 million tons (transshipment dry cargo 23.0 million tons), bulk cargo) amounted to 13.2 million tons)
The freight turnover of the Arctic Basin ports decreased by 3.0% to 15.9 million tons (transshipment dry cargo 4.5 million tons, bulk cargo 11.4 million tons), contrary to the increases.
