Fortescue Metals Group reported that they began laying off jobs at a time when the company acquired low profits with decreasing iron ore prices, with the goal of decreasing high operating costs.
Australian iron ore producer Fortescue Metals Group was about to complete the Iron Bridge magnetite project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The company, whose work in Gabon has just begun, reported that the reduction in the number of staff on the project is natural for the process.
