Foreign exchange control decision from the Central Bank of Russia

The Central Bank of Russia announced that it suspended the foreign currency sales of banks to savers who do not have foreign currency deposits between 9 March and 9 September.

According to the written statement made by the Central Bank of Russia, the regulation made considering the latest situation in the economy was shared with the public.

Accordingly, it was stated that banks will not be able to make sales in foreign currency between 9 March and 9 September.

In the statement, it was noted that the withdrawal limits of depositors in foreign currency were also rearranged to a maximum of 10 thousand dollars, and depositors can only withdraw numbers above this in Russian rubles.
