Ferhat Özmerzi, who previously served as the Assistant General Manager of Quality Management Systems and R&D, has expanded his responsibilities in the company by being appointed to his new position.
In 1995, Ferhat Özmerzi graduated from METU Department of Mechanical Engineering and in 1999 he completed the Contemporary Business Management Programme at Marmara University. Mr Özmerzi started his career as a production engineer at Aselsan and continued to work as a process engineer at Beksa in 1998. Between 2003 and 2008, he worked in various positions in Bekaert Belgium office and then between 2008 and 2013, he worked as the manager responsible for technology, quality and operations in Bekaert Türkiye.
Özmerzi, who was the country manager responsible for technical processes in Bekaert Slovakia office between 2013-2015, worked as Nexans Denizli Plant Manager between 2015-2016 and Goodyear Plant Manager between 2016-2020. He continued his global experience at Frimpeks in 2020-2021, managing international operations and was appointed General Manager of Unika in 2021. Özmerzi, who became General Manager of Çelik Halat ve Tel Sanayii AŞ in 2022, was last working as Assistant General Manager at Çokyaşar Holding.
