Feng Hsin Steel Co., Ltd., one of the largest electric furnace manufacturers in Taiwan, increased its scrap purchase price by NT$200/tonne and its rebar price by NT$200/ton this week. It kept the steel profile price constant at NT$26,300/ton.
Feng Hsin said that there were no offers from the US scrap shipment last week. During the same period, Japan's H2 scrap price remained stable at US$380/ton weekly, with the US container scrap price up 0.6% from last week.
Australia's iron ore price was down 4.5 percent week on week.
