SHS (Stahl-Holding-Saar) comprises plate producer Dillinger Hütte and Saarstahl, a producer of speciality bar grades. The company recently launched a brand for low-emission steels under the name Pure Steel+.
Stefan Rauber, CEO of SHS, said: "Our membership of ResponsibleSteel shows what motivates us: Responsibility for sustainable steel production that is fully aligned with Pure Steel+. The multi-stakeholder concept of the initiative emphasises that all levels of the steel supply chain must contribute in order to achieve a sustainable value creation process."
Together, the two plants produce 5 million tonnes of steel per year.
